Weekly Tasks Outside of Class
- Print your lab materials and do the prelab if there is one
- Do the weekly Sapling Homework. Due by Tuesday at midnight. There is no limit to the number of attempts and no penalty for multiple tries.
- Do the written HW if there is one. Turn into help room box by Friday 5pm.
Dropped Grades
We’ll drop up to five missed clicker days, a Sapling HW, and a written HW. We will not excuse additional missed assignments.
Stuff the Most Successful Students Usually Do
- Read the book before class –it’s okay if it doesn’t all make sense the first time.
- Spend some time doing homework in the help room, even if you don’t have questions yet.
- Make yourself try the problems before you peek at solutions.
- Study with other people, not just alone.
- Stay off your phone/laptop during class (except to take notes).
- Come talk after class if you’re confused, even if you don’t know what you’re confused about.
