1. Select "Recovery Notebook Server"

2. Launch the Terminal

3. Go to Your Home Directory

Your home directory is mounted at `/home/jovyan/user_home_YOURIDENTIKEY`.

For example: If your identikey is jipa4409, navigate to `/home/jovyan/user_home_jipa4409`.

4. Check Folder Size and Remove Unnecessary Files

Run the command `du -h -d 1` in the terminal to view folder usage. Based on the command's output, identify and remove any unnecessary files until the total folder size is less than the quota (8GB).

The above screenshot indicates that folder1 occupies 6GB of storage. You can delete large files from this folder as shown in the following screenshot.

Note: The `.cache/pip` folder, a temporary directory for storing downloaded pip packages, often consumes a significant amount of disk space. It is safe to clear this folder.

5. Logout and Relaunch the Course Server

After file removal, log out and re-launch your course server. If JupyterHub still fails to launch the server, contact cscihelp@colorado.edu.
