Welcome to the ITL Program's Skill-Building Workshop on "Prototyping - Level 1 - Operating the 3D Printers"

Please complete this self-guided workshop prior to taking the instructor-led workshop at the ITL Laboratory.

*You must complete the instructor-led workshop at the ITL Laboratory in order to gain access to the equipment in the ITL Laboratory.

What you will learn:

Introduction to 3D printing will cover the basics of 3D printing and the processes for getting your parts printed with the 3D printers at the ITL Laboratory. By the end of the Introduction to 3D printing workshop, you should understand how to operate the self-service 3D printers, how to submit a job for the HD3D printers, and the criteria for selecting the machine that best suits your needs.

Challenge Level

This workshop is an "Access" workshop, intended to UNLOCK your path forward by training you in the proper handling and care of the 3D Printers. You must complete an instructor-led workshop at the ITL Laboratory in order to gain access. Once completed, the instructor will register you in our system as an authorized user of the 3D Printers, at which point you will be able to use them freely.
